The Island Council of Tenerife has approved a RESOLUTION establishing preventive measures on certain trails in Teide National Park due to adverse weather conditions. These measures include the temporary closure of specific trails during the time slots between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m., aimed at ensuring user safety.
Trails Affected by the Temporary Closure:
- PNT 07: Montaña Blanca - La Rambleta, on the section between the summit of Montaña Blanca and the junction of trails PNT 07 and PNY 11: Mirador de La Fortaleza.
- PNT 11: Mirador de La Fortaleza.
- PNT 23: Regatones Negros.
- PNT 09: Teide - Pico Viejo - Mirador de las Narices del Teide.
Access will be restricted for the general public on these trails between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. while this resolution remains in effect.
General Recommendation:
It is advised to exercise extreme caution when using the rest of the trail network in Teide National Park.
Duration of the Measure
The resolution will remain in effect until safety conditions improve on the upper trails of the Teide – Pico Viejo stratovolcano.
