Description
The El Portillo Visitor Centre is a discreet building that blends in with its surroundings, located next to the northern entrance to the Teide National Park.
The centre explains the relationship between the plant and animal life of the park and its physical features. Visitors can therefore learn about the geological history of the area and discover how the landscape was formed and how the flora and fauna adapted to the environment and to the special climatic conditions.
There is a screening room with seating for 74 people which continuously projects a film about the park.
It also has a video room where you can view information on practically all the National Parks in the Network.
