Description
The Las Raíces area for caravans, motorhomes, and other camper vehicles is situated at an altitude of 1,000 metres on the southern slope of the La Esperanza ridge. This location explains why fog and low temperatures are common.
This environment consists of a forest with species typical of this humid zone, such as faya trees, holly, and heather, which mix with Canary Island pines and shrubs with colourful flowers, such as rockroses, pennyroyal, or St. John’s wort. As for fauna, the most common species are chaffinches and woodpeckers pecking at the oldest tree trunks.
Due to its proximity to populated areas, easy access via paved roads, and the existence of several marked trails, it is a popular area, especially on public holidays and weekends.
Adjacent to the camping area is the recreational area of the same name, whose services and facilities can be used during your stay.
