The caravan, motorhome, and adapted vehicle area of Chío is located on the southwestern slope of the island, at an altitude of 1600 metres, providing a unique perspective of the summit. From here, one can observe not only Pico Viejo and Teide but also other smaller, darker-coloured volcanoes, such as Montaña Reventada and Montaña Sámara.
Due to its proximity to the island's peaks, it experiences a climate characterised by highly variable temperatures, both between seasons and between day and night.
This area consists of a well-developed, scattered Canary pine forest, which is also home to other species such as heartsease, broom, thyme, and chahorras. The local fauna includes the woodpecker, pecking at the older trunks, the blue chaffinch, and the lagarto tizón (a species of lizard).
Road access to the camping area involves travelling along a dirt forest track.
Near the motorhome area, approximately 1 kilometre away, is the recreational area with various services.

- Enjoy the local flora and fauna without disturbing them, always with curiosity, distance, and respect.
- Follow the posted rules and signs to ensure harmony with both people and animals.
- Keep the environment clean by avoiding littering or discarding cigarette butts outside of the designated bins.
- Travel in small groups to minimise noise pollution and the environmental impact.
- Use the water from the toilets and fountains responsibly. It is a scarce and precious resource on our island.
