Description
This route in the Anaga mountains leads you through hamlets and laurel forests from the summit to Tenerife’s coast.
It starts in Chamorga, the easternmost village on the island.
From here the trail climbs through the laurel forest to the hamlets of La Cumbrilla and El Lomo de Las Bodegas.
It then follows the ancient path that once linked the north-eastern part of the Anaga Massif with Igueste de San Andrés, passing through La Atalaya and the hamlet of Las Casillas. We recommend that you take particular care as this section has a steep downhill slope.
You will finally reach Igueste de San Andrés, a traditional fishing village located about 16 km from the town centre of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
