Adoption of Preventive Measures Due to Adverse Weather Conditions on Certain Trails of the Teide-Pico Viejo Stratovolcano
The measures will be in effect starting at 12:00 AM on December 21 and will remain in place until the Canary Islands Government lifts the alert.
Access Restricted Starting 12:00 AM on December 21, 2024, for the Following Trails:
- Trail PNT 07: Montaña Blanca-Pico Teide, specifically the section between the summit of Montaña Blanca and the intersection with Trail PNT 11 (Mirador de La Fortaleza).
- Trail PNT 09: Teide - Pico Viejo - TF-38 Road, specifically the section between its intersections with Trail PNT 38 (Cuevas Negras) and Trail PNT 12 (Mirador de Pico Viejo).
- Trail PNT 10: Telesforo Bravo. This trail is closed from December 20 at 4:00 PM.
- Trail PNT 11: Mirador de La Fortaleza.
- Trail PNT 12: Mirador de Pico Viejo.
- Trail PNT 23: Regatones Negros.
- Trail PNT 28: Chafarí.
Additionally, maximum caution is advised on the remaining trails in the network.
This resolution will remain in effect until the alert status declared by the Government of the Canary Islands is lifted.
