This year we mark World Climate Day with an extra hour of sunlight
This Sunday, 26 March, the change to daylight saving time coincides with the commemoration of World Climate Day.
Launched in 1992, this day seeks to raise awareness of the importance of the climate and the impact that climate change has on our planet, on our most cherished natural spaces and, ultimately, on our own homes.
And this year it coincides with the day that our clocks go forward by one hour. This means that at 1:00 am in the Canary Islands the time will become 2:00 am.
From this point on, the days start to get longer, giving us all the more time to enjoy the Protected Natural Areas of Tenerife.
