Description
This trail links the area of La Pina with El Palmar, passing through the abandoned settlement of Talavera and its beautiful views over the valley.
It starts in La Pina and climbs up the cobbled path that is still intact today and which formed part of the old footpath that linked Talavera with Los Silos.
The slope becomes steeper at Lomo de Los Cardones, where you will begin to enjoy magnificent panoramic views of Isla Baja.
The trail then leads to Casas de Talavera, old abandoned farmhouses of traditional Canarian architecture. From this point, the highest point on the route, you will be rewarded with outstanding views of Monte del Agua, the Palmar Valley and Cumbre del Baracán.
From here the path descends gradually until it reaches the Plaza de Las Libreas in the centre of El Palmar, the end of the route.
