New Resolution Approved by the Cabildo of Tenerife (Island Council)
Preventive measures on the Teide – Pico Viejo stratovolcano trails
The Cabildo of Tenerife has approved a RESOLUTION establishing provisional and urgent measures for monitoring, supervision, and control of visitors ascending on foot from various trails to La Rambleta (the upper cable car station) in the Teide National Park (2024).
Trails affected by the temporary closure:
- PNT 07 Trail: Montaña Blanca – La Rambleta
- PNT 09 Trail: Teide – Pico Viejo – Mirador de las Narices del Teide
- PNT 23 Trail: Regatones Negros
- PNT 28 Trail: Chafarí
In the PNT 07 itinerary page, under the “Permits and Availability” section, you can process the reservation.
To make a reservation on Tenerife ON, follow these steps:
- Access the Tenerife ON website (www.tenerifeon.es).
- Registration and validation: Ensure that you are registered and validated with your username and password on the platform.
- Access the trail page: Once validated, go to the PNT 07 trail page (Montaña Blanca – La Rambleta), where you can make a reservation for the three bookable trails in the Teide National Park via Tenerife ON. - https://www.tenerifeon.es/itinerarios/sendero/pnt-07-montana-blanca-la-rambleta
Important:
Reservations can only be made up to a maximum of 21 days in advance.
Dates beyond this limit will appear in grey, as slots are not yet available.
Every Monday at 07:00 hours (Canary Islands time), available slots for the following two weeks will be released. This means that reservations will be open until 21 days after their publication each Monday.
Reservation procedure:
- On the trail page, enter the number of people (maximum of 15) and select the desired time slot.
- Click on “Check availability” to view available dates.
- Once the date is selected, continue with the reservation by providing the requested details in the form.
