Comarca Chasna - Isora

Difficulty: High

Description

This demanding trail combines beautiful volcanic landscapes, a walk through vineyards and traditional buildings of the island.

Departing from the town of Guía de Isora, the route takes you to Aripe and Chirche, villages featuring traditional Canarian architecture.

From Chirche you will continue through vineyards and scrubland before entering the pine forest of Tágara, with splendid views of the Niágara ravine, until you reach Boca de Chavao.

From this point on, you will walk through volcanic landscapes until the end of the route at Boca Tauce.

Tips

  • Always stay on the marked trail and do not enter private property, hunting grounds, water galleries, wells or caves.
  • Pay special attention when crossing or walking along trails used by bicycles, horses or motor vehicles and when walking in ravines with water courses.
  • Avoid direct encounters with potentially dangerous animals, such as livestock, beehives, and dogs.
  • Proceed with caution and watch for obstacles, loose rocks, uneven terrain or steep slopes to avoid accidents and falls.
  • Check out our guide to hiking in Tenerife and, if necessary, contact the emergency services by calling 112.
