This Easter, use public transport, especially if you are visiting Anaga, Teno or Teide National Park.
Find out what buses will take you to your next route using Tenerife ON.
Why use public transport in our natural areas?
There are 3 main benefits of enjoying Protected Natural Areas by bus:
- No more worries about parking.
The wide range of bus routes in Tenerife means you can visit places as spectacular as Teide National Park, Anaga Rural Park or Teno Rural Park without worrying about where to park your car. - Reduce your environmental impact.
By using public transport instead of your car, you are directly contributing to the conservation of our natural areas by reducing both your carbon footprint and traffic congestion. - Enjoy the scenery.
Public transport in Tenerife is very affordable. Making the journey there and back, watching the spectacular natural scenery of our island roll past the window and not having to keep your eyes on the road... That is priceless.
The best thing of all? That public transport services not only provide local people with access to our protected natural areas, but also enable tourists to explore the island in a more sustainable and rewarding way.
The Tenerife bus network is managed by the public company TITSA and its buses reach many parts of the island. They are easy to identify thanks to their distinctive green colour.
To find out which bus to take to your next outdoor destination on the island, visit the information page of the trail, route or facility you are interested in and consult the information on access to the starting and finishing points, which you will find in the technical details.
.
As long as there is a public service at your destination, whether it be a trail, cycle or horse track, recreational area, camping area or visitor centre, you will find the nearest bus routes and the bus stop code there.
During Easter Week, TITSA will provide extra buses on some of its routes, including 948, 910, 945 and 946 in Anaga, and 369 in Teno. You can view them on the followinglink
In addition, for greater convenience and to help you organise your trip, we have a detailed map with the stops and bus routes in Anaga Rural Park. With this tool, you can plan your trip carefully and make sure you do not miss out on anything in this magnificent natural area.
However, we recommend that you check the timetables on the TITSA website before you plan your trip.
