Status of Tenerife’s trails and facilities after the forest fire
Before any activity, please check the status of the trails and facilities in the area.
On 15 December, the Tenerife Island Council issued a resolution on the state of the facilities and trails in the area in the following towns:
- Fasnia.
- Güímar.
- Arafo.
- Candelaria.
- El Rosario.
- Tacoronte.
- El Sauzal.
- La Matanza de Acentejo.
- La Victoria de Acentejo.
- Santa Úrsula.
- La Orotava.
- Los Realejos.
In the fire area, ALL ACCESS TO NATURAL AREAS IS FORBIDDEN.
LEVEL 0 with the rest of the island.
In the Teide National Park, the following trails have been closed:
- PNT 01 - La Fortaleza in its entirety.
- PNT 14 - Alto de Guamaso in its entirety.
- PNT 17 - Igueque in its entirety.
- PNT 21 - Corral del Niño in its entirety.
- PNT 25 - Recibo Quemado in its entirety.
- PNT 34 - Montaña Limón in its entirety.
- Alto de Guamaso Accessible Trail in its entirety.
- Roque de Caramujo Accessible Trail in its entirety.
In the rest of the island, the following trails have been closed:
- Sendero GR 131 Anaga – Chasna.
- Sendero PR TF 25 Las Raíces – Lomo La Jara.
- Sendero PR TF 25.2 Las Lagunetas – Área Recreativa Hoya de Abade.
- Sendero PR TF 25.3 Las Lagunetas – Los Nateros.
- Enlace PR TF 25.2 con PR TF 25.3.
- Sendero PR TF 35 La Caldera – Mamio – La Caldera.
- Sendero PR TF 35.1 Casa del Agua – Pinolere.
- Sendero PR TF 35.2 Ruta del Agua.
- Sendero PR TF 35.3 Llano de los Corrales – Pinolere.
- Camino a Candelaria (tramo Aguamansa – La Crucita).
- Sendero PR TF 40 Ladera de Tigaiga.
- Sendero PR TF 40.1 Camino Punta del Risco.
The following recreational areas and camping areas are also closed:
- Hoya de Abade.
- La Caldera Campsite.
- La Laguneta Chica.
- Las Calderetas.
- Los Frailes.
- Ramón Caminero.
